Artists Mendi + Keith Obadike have stretched fragments of music, poetry, stories, and myths across the pedestrian plazas and surrounding blocks in all four cardinal directions, for visitors to discover whether they’re exploring the neighborhood or simply on their way to work. The result is Compass Song, a free app-based public sound artwork inspired by Times Square’s rich history as the Crossroads of the World that officially launches Wednesday, July 12th. Compass Song was commissioned by and created in residence with Times Square Arts.

NEW YORK - ONETWENTYEIGHT is excited to present MAXWELL STEVENS “SPRING ESSENCE” a new suite of oil paintings on canvas and on unique, hand-carved mahogany ovals. Seeking in painterly terms what some theologians refer to as “thin places” or “thin spaces”, and taking the position that these divine places are more psychologically than geographically defined, the artist has turned towards private scenes in his own home during Easter weekend as his point of departure.

Row New York and the iconic Armory in Washington Heights, NYC are joining forces on Saturday, November 19th to host Run & Row New York at the Armory. This one-of-a-kind biathlon combines the skills of two complementary sports, running and rowing.
