Arts nonprofit Art For Progress will present their inaugural weekend-long festival, “Brooklyn Beat Music and Arts Festival” June 1st-3rd at the Paper Box in East Williamsburg. To coincide with Bushwick Open Studios, the festival will feature a diverse line-up of live music performances, DJs, performance art, film screenings, video and fashion installations. Live music acts include Apollo Heights, Lachi, Ze Luis Quartet, Push Method, Comandante Zero, Argotec, and Redheadphone .

The Lower East Side BID is transforming Orchard Street into an “urban backyard”, a three-block special event designed in partnership with Dub Studios. This one-day event will be open to all, to shop and experience the vibrant culture, food, art, music and entertainment that defines the LES.
