Every Friday, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, the American Folk Art Museum invites the public in to relax with live music provided by notable NYC musicians. During the October 7 edition, guests can listen to and discuss early American blues recordings courtesy of Brooklyn's Jalopy Theatre, then enjoy the country blues of Eden & John's East River String Band. Visitors are also welcome to peruse the institution's collections. The museum, which always offers free admission, recently moved from West 53rd Street to a new home at 2 Lincoln Square.
